Steps to Freedom

Located on the beautiful shores of Moreton Bay, just 35 kilometres north of Brisbane, the Redcliffe Peninsula encompasses the suburbs of Clontarf, Woody Point, Margate, Redcliffe, Scarborough, Newport and Kippa-Ring.

Last year, the Moreton Bay North District celebrated 70 years of AA on the Redcliffe Peninsula with a weekend rally at the Redcliffe Showgrounds.  The event was an outstanding success – most importantly in bringing members together in Fellowship, Recovery, Unity and Service.  The positive response inspired the decision to make the rally an annual event.

This year’s theme, Steps to Freedom, will focus on the Twelve Steps of Recovery.  Similar to last year, meetings will run for one hour, with generous breaks throughout the program to allow plenty of time for fellowship and connection.  Enjoy catching up with old friends and making new ones.

Al-Anon and Alateen will be participating and will have their own meeting room and program running concurrently with AA.

Saturday evening promises another enjoyable night of entertainment, featuring a blend of music, dancing, laughter and a talent show celebrating the many gifts within our fellowship.
