REDCLIFFE PENINSULA RALLY 2025

The Moreton Bay North District recently celebrated 70 years of AA on the Redcliffe Peninsula by hosting a weekend rally at the Redcliffe Showgrounds. The rally was a great success both financially and in terms of attendance. Most importantly, it brought members together in Fellowship, Recovery, Unity, and Service. Based on feedback during and after the weekend, there is strong support for this to be an annual event.

We had a total of 180 registrations, being a mixture of full weekend and daily. On average, there were about 100 people present at any given time. Members travelled from a range of places – Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Howard, Lismore in NSW, and even New Zealand.

The catering committee and their helpers did an amazing job. Despite a very basic kitchen, they provided top-quality food and plenty of it. Saturday night’s talent show was a highlight, filled with laughter and entertainment, showcasing the impressive talents within the Fellowship.

Although the rally began with a storm on Friday night, the remainder of the weekend enjoyed perfect weather. The outdoor areas were frequently used, with many people taking advantage of the Queensland winter sun.
